Day 1

Wilderness Wildlife
Your Wildlife tour begins the moment your guide meets you at the Kingscote Airport.

First stop is Seal Bay Conservation Park to learn how the Australian sea-lion survives the rigours of the Southern Ocean. The colony of bulls, cows and pups rest on the beach where you can walk amongst them. Next a visit to the spectacular and vast sand dunes of Little Sahara before traversing the rural areas of central Kangaroo Island to Parndana Wildlife Park where you will be treated with a delicious home-cooked lunch, great SA wines and beers and freshly brewed coffee.

After lunch you visit the North Coast beaches, Snellings and Stokes Bay that are perfect for a leisurely stroll to enjoy the sound of waves breaking on the pristine, sandy coast and a nature walk through the drooping she-oaks of Lathami National Park and observe the kangaroos and wallabies. This is also the habitat of the rare Glossy Black Cockatoo and great country for the elusive echidna (spiny ant-eater)

At the end of the day you are returned to your accommodation for a well earned rest and dinner.

Day 2

Wilderness Food & Wine
Your food and wine tour of Kangaroo Island begins when your guide collects you from your accommodation.

First stop is the Island Pure Sheep Dairy where you have the opportunity to view the milking of sheep and taste the smooth yogurts and world class cheeses. From here you make your way to Gum Creek Marron Farm, situated in picturesque Cygnet River, for a sample of this lovely fresh water crayfish. Next visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery that offers a unique experience, being the only commercial distillery in South Australia. You can enjoy a wander through their well-stocked souvenir shop.

Then relax over a sumptuous lunch of local produce and wine at Wyndemar and take in sensational farm and sea views.

Cliffords Honey Farm provides an informative talk on the Ligurian bee found only on Kangaroo Island while enjoying tastings of honey products produced on location.

You then move on to Sunset Winery at the eastern end of the Island and enjoy a tasting of their very own first release wines and local cheeses, whilst enjoying the 180 sea views and tranquillity of the surrounding bushland.

At the end of the day you are returned to your accommodation for a well earned rest and dinner.
